STOP Looking At People Like Dollar Signs…

by Eric Goldstein

Sorry for the harsh headline… but it’s so TRUE! It sickening to see sometimes how people are treating each other, just to make a buck. This is no way to build a business.

And it’s not just a few people… all you have to do is sign into your Facebook and look at your wall. It’s plastered with people not giving a ‘blank’ about other people… and just caring about how much money they will make when someone joins their business.

People aren’t stupid… they can sense when someone is just out for those reasons. They might not see it at an intellectual level, but they sure feel it at a vibrational level.

When you come from a place where you truly want to make a difference in someones life… where you really care about them, that’s when things will change for you. This one shift in your mindset can take you from struggling like crazy to one of the top producers in your company… it’s that serious!

Check out this quick video that I shot for you today:

Hey Eric
I totally have to agree with you on this. Too many times, people are just there to make a buck. But it’s the decission to help other people and to (like you said) really care about them.
That is what builds true business partners and true friends.
And that is what people will respect long term.
Thanks for the post Eric.

Relationship vs. transactional thinking has been around since forever. I think transactional thinking cheapens the quality of what you offer and keeps you in the rat race basically “hocking” your product or service until you are 80 years old.

Relationship mentality is where you can build a long lasting, predictable and RECESSION PROOF business.

I really think that this is the way to go.

Thanks for sharing and I am with you all the way on this.

Awesome stuff Eric, once again you’ve hit the nail on the head.

Another great thing about having this mindset of giving is that it also releases the pressure on yourself.

When you move away from having a constant ‘push’ approach and start to concentrate on giving value, building real relationships with people and helping out where you can without expecting anything in return, you’re freeing yourself up to just be you – the benefits of which are endless.

It’s not only a sensible frame of mind to be in, but also the most fun, fulfilling and rewarding.

Great message Eric, thanks for sharing.

Cheers, Justin.

Justin,

It’s all about attraction… like you said, when
you come from that place of adding value, you
are in the state of vibration…

And then good things flow into your experience.
What a wonderful world we live it… keep it real!

Eric, you consistently have the most positive messages. You’re absolutely right – it\’s all about the “energy” surrounding how you attract clients. As an artist and a writer, I immediately see the results in my interactions with people interested in my work.

It’s also true when I create, whether it’s writing or artwork. If I’m creating from an attitude of “How much will I get for this?”, the end result doesn’t even hold a candle to creating from sheer joy and passion for my subject.

Thanks for the reminder, Eric. You keep us all grounded!

Right on Eric!!! I get so tired of seeing people in our industry give a “bad name” to network marketing by spamming their walls. People and relationships are FAR MORE IMPORTANT than dollar signs. Thank you for this post and for your candor in sharing it.

Hey Krista,

They really do give network marketers a
bad name… but as long as you are true to
you and keep sharing authentically, you stand
out:)

It’s a dance and a romance we are

Eric,

You are right on. I noticed that a lot of old school marketers fail to see the big picture when it come to building their business. They are usually just focused on the upfront dollar and not on building the relationship.

Exactly Right on point Eric. As Gary V. Would say…We are living in the \"Thank You\" economy whether you know it or not. Our customers, and clients have more power than ever before.

They can attract more people to your restaurant or shut you down with one blog post, one tweet, one facebook share…

Customer service and putting them first is paramount in the \"thank you\" economy

Awesome point you make in this video!

It’s so important to first look at what other people need and try to help them out. That’s how you reach your goals and get most satisfaction out of it. And the best part is that then money will also start flowing as a biproduct. :)

Just want to quote one of my mentors who have built a $25Million business from scratch.

“Compassion is the most valuable and profitable business skill”
Eben Pagan

Have a great day Eric!

Hey Eric, I love your message. I feel like saying something everyday to all those people that are just promoting their businesses in the completely wrong way. Its like they are being sick on my wall. (facebook wall obviously lol!)

But you know what, I like to flip it round and think that maybe these people need some enlightentment and may I might be able to help them do that.

Worst of all people that treat people like dollar signs are probably not very good leaders and mentors and I wonder what they actually have to share once the business opportunity tail has been told?

Some great stuff here, I will be back :-)

I love how you ‘flipped it around’. They are
just doing what they know… so they do need
some enlightenment.

People who are spamming everyone out there
definitely don’t make good leaders. Leaders are
VALUE adders… keep rockin’ Beth!
