Posture Is Everything… Stop Being A Slouch!

by Eric Goldstein on July 28, 2010

The title of the post says it all… how you hold yourself when sharing about your business will determine your success.  Posture isn’t just when you are face to face with people.  It’s in effect whenever you’re sharing about your business.

If your writing a blog post, your posture comes through.  If you’re shooting a video, your posture comes through.  This matters 100% of the time.  Posture comes down to belief in what you are doing.

Check out this quick video I created about this:

So what did you think?  Do you believe that posture creates the decision to buy?  I’d love to hear your feedback on this.  Leave a comment below here in the community.  Also, pass this post along to your Social Media buddies… retweet it or share it on your Facebook.

Thanks in advance…

Yours In Empowerment,

Eric Goldstein

I agree with your point about the importance of posturing. We have to take the emotional response out of our business and exchange that for confidence and enthusiasm. Confident posturing is the way to go for sure! Blessings, Amy

Amy,

When we are in alignment with
what we are sharing, then we have
ultimate posture.

Our work is to get into alignment
with whatever it is we are talking about!

Thank you eric for this great insight and reminder! In my field, if I lack posture…… the company makes zero dollars! It’s so true that you must be totally and genuinely SOLD OUT on your products or services. Most people can see when you are being authentic and when your not.

Posture! Belief! I love it!

Have an awesome day my friend!

Laura,

We are all energy beings and we
can sense when someone isn’t being
authentic.

Rock that posture girl!

Hi Eric,

I thought when you started talking about posture I though you were going to talk about body language which accounts for 60 – 80% of how we communicate but you have opened my eye to other forms of posture and believe. I will take this away with me.

Thanks for sharing and have a great day.

Body language is huge Tristram…

Posture shows in our body language,
so I believe they go hand and hand.

Great post, Eric! Our posture is extremely important regardless of of whether or not anyone can see us, it will shine through whatever we do.

It is one reason that I have often heard it said that it’s beneficial to smile while talking on the phone. It will come through in your speech.

Not only that but the way that we hold ourselves makes a difference on our endorphins and other hormones. It’s good for the health!

So true Stacy… people read our
energy. Even on the phone just
like you said… they don’t need to
see us.

Hey Eric,

Honestly this is so important and I actually noticed a huge difference in the results I was getting in my business when I merely just changed the tone and intensity of my voice in my videos. Before I didn’t really have a lot of “uuummph” if you know what I mean and if you aren’t giving a lot of energy in your presentation people can pick up on that in a heartbeat.

Thanks so much for sharing this and I cannot wait to see what you have up your sleeve next :)

See you at the top,

Thanks for the share buddy!

The more belief you have in what
you are doing, the more belief the
people you are selling or promoting
will have in what you are talking about.

Great to hear you’re upping your game!

Belief is huge… it’s the core
to posture. The more you believe
in what you are doing, the more posture
you will have…

And the more other people will believe
in what you are offering…

Great post, Eric. I’ve learned the hard way that people won’t see you as a leader until you learn posture.

What a interesting title.. I do agree with you that your posture is vital to your confidence. If you show strength in approach then it will be very obvious to your audience and indeed deliver the message. Excellent video and again cool title. :)

Hey Derek,

We transfer emotions to one another.
Your posture is just how you ‘feel’ about
what you are sharing or talking about.

Thanks for stopping in!

Hey Emily,

It’s all in how we do it and
how we say it… we are energy
beings at our core.

Other people are perceiving us
at levels that we can’t even comprehend
from our physical state.

Thanks for the share!
