Manifesting What You Want: A Process To Do It

by Eric Goldstein on March 2, 2010

Manifesting What You Want is much EASIER then you think!

Law of Attraction has been the talk of the town the past few years… to the point where it almost feels watered down. Wouldn’t you agree? The movie ‘The Secret’ came out and everyone was running around saying that you can get anything you want if you just think about it.

That is true, but what happened was people would say they wanted something like a Million Dollars, wait a few days… and then when it didn’t show up they said ‘this stuff doesn’t work’. I laugh when I hear people say that. They only say that because they don’t understand it.

Does it really work?

It’s like saying ‘this electricity thing doesn’t work’ because I have no clue how the lights go on when I flip the switch… but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work! Just because I don’t understand it doesn’t mean it’s going to stop electricity from working.

Law of Attraction does not stop working because one doesn’t understand it either. People, places, things, circumstances and events are showing up in your life, right? It might not be all of the stuff you really want, but it’s still working. You just need a better understanding of how to turn on the light switch to get the result you want.

Manifesting what you want comes down to thinking a thought about something and BELIEVING that it will show up. If I had to sum up the Law of Attraction in one word… it would be Expectation.

Here is where the challenge is…

People realize that the thing they want is missing or non existent from their life. So instead of expecting that it will show up, they are so focused on it not being there… and those thoughts are what hold their desire from showing up in their experience.

Following me on this? It’s something that we’ve been doing for so long so it’s hard to wrap your thoughts around it. So what you need to do is coax those resistant thoughts about what you want into a better feeling place… a place of more expectation, or believability (is that a word??:)

I’ve come across a nifty process that will help you do this. DO NOT disregard this process because of it’s simplicity. The process is called ‘The Focus Wheel’. It was designed by Jerry & Ester Hicks in the book Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires Manifesting What You Want: A Process To Do It.

Watch this video as I explain how to do it:

Please enable Javascript and Flash to view this Viddler video.

So what did you think? Do you see how this process can help ease the resistant around those negative thoughts. It’s only the resistance that is holding what you desire out of your experience. If it wasn’t for those resistant thoughts… you’d be manifesting what you want right now!

As promised here is a link to the printable Focus Wheel template…

The ‘Manifesting What You Want Challenge’…

So I have a challenge for you… Use this process in the areas of your life where you’ve had a challenge in manifesting what you want. Leave a comment here on the bottom of the page if you are up for the challenge.

Feel free to share what you are using it for… if not, keep it private but just leave a comment and let the community here know that you are up for the challenge. I’m looking forward to all the amazing things that are going to show up in your life.

I hope you enJOYed today’s video and post. It’s my mission to Empower Ordinary People To Do Extraordinary Things… and it’s through simple processes like these that I can make that happen.

Please share this post with your Facebook and Twitter followers by clicking on the icons on this page. They will THANK YOU for it… I promise:)

Much love to you… rock the manifestation!

Yours In Success,
Eric Goldstein

Thank you for posting this. It is imperative that we train the brain before setting a goal. I’ve been doing this for years. I started with focusing on a candle, then it was writing down lists. Now it grew into Serious Meditation three times a day.

I consider myself an old pro, but that is not true because you have to work out your brain more than your body.

Donna,

Staring at the candle is a great idea.
It’s a meditation in itself!

What we don’t want shows up to
stimulate the desire… but then it’s
our work to now focus on the desire
that has been stimulated… and not
the contrast.

\"A belief is just a thought you keep thinking over and over again.\" ~My favorite line from the video.

The law of attraction has most definitely been watered down. While I have never given up on it and truly believe in it, there are times where I have struggled with the very difficult beliefs because they were too big of a jump. I was missing the wheel, a step by step approach. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I feel so much more empowered to manifest my desires now.

Hey Danielle,

That’s my favorite line as well.. when
I heard it the light bulb went on. All we
have to do is change our thoughts… and
if we do that long enough, then we change
our beliefs… and then we change what shows
up in our life.

Rock the wheel girl!

Great video, Eric!

The biggest revelation was the brilliant symbolism with the playground carousel…….that was the biggest issue I had with trying to dismantle negative thoughts – I’d try to replace them with positive thoughts that were too far on the other end of the scale and they’d go flying off “into the bushes” as you said.

The Focus Wheel sounds like a great tool. I’ll be getting the book and will download the Wheel.

Many thanks for an excellent post!

GREAT explanation Eric… you have a future as a Law of Attraction coach!

As a LOA coach myself I’ve sent this to all my clients you made it so clear I couldn’t have done it better myself…

AND there are some other amazing processes I use with people like ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if….. ” or the “Virtual Reality’ process but the “Focus Wheel” is a fabulous precursor to any other inner work…

And yes, the book has become my new bible!!

Reply

Eric Goldstein March 9, 2010 at 10:49 PM

Sandhan,

The ‘wouldn’t it be nice’ game is a great
process. It all about releasing resistance,
sorta tricking the mind and stopping the pattern
of thoughts that are holding us apart from what
we want.

Thank you :)

Hey Darlene .. Eric is talking my language here!

I am a Law of Attraction coach and use the processes in my sessions to help people find solutions that actually WORK!!

If you want to know more, it\’s one of my favourite topics so feel free to contact me personally or through my blog.

Like Eric so rightly says, the LOA is working al the time just like gravity so if we can learn to harness its power and use it DELIBERATELY we can all become very powerful creators!!

Reply

Francesco March 5, 2010 at 5:44 AM

I had never tried the Focus Wheel before! In my experience the best “game” is the Rampage of Appreciation, because it allows you to completely let go of your resistance, while noticing the abundance that is already around you. If you can be truly grateful for what you are right now, you don’t need to do anything else.
However, I’ve tried that process now and the Focus Wheel is Fantastic because it reminds me of the school times! .there is a power in writing. it allows new different perspectives to simply POP-UP in your mind. It’s very very good, when you…want to act in some way and don’t have any intention to stop and just be grateful!!!! :)
Thank you!

I’ve been meaning to get this book for a while, I think you’ve given me the kick in the butt that I needed :-)

Seven years ago when I was at uni we were told to write down our long term goals for the next 10 years. I looked back at it a few years ago and the first 5 years had worked out exactly as I had written on that piece of paper! It’s amazing what can you can achieve if you think you can!

Thanks for providing such a simple explanation of the process.

Eric,

You never cease to deliver great value added content. Keeping up with this simple concept and taking daily action towards it has allowed for some really cool things to happen.

However I think the real value to the simplicity and not the expectations. If we focus on what we think we want we may miss the opportunity that was meant to be.

If someone wants a million dollars a year and all they are looking for is a stack of dollars, then they may miss the opportunity to connect with the right people who could help them with a new business concept.

It makes me laugh when I hear that too.. what hose people don’t understand is that we become what we think about the most because our thoughts affect our actions..

so if we think about a million bucks..our brain starts working on HOW to get those millions bucks..

Hey Eric,

Talk about “attraction”!
I clicked on your video, watched a couple of minutes, paused, went away, came back, watched more, paused — really wanting *not* to spend the time to watch. But something kept me from clicking away entirely until I finally sat myself down and focussed on your presentation.

There is so much wisdom in the metaphor of the merry-go-round, and you explained it charmingly. That centrifugal force will repel anything that tries to come in and stop the energy. The only thing that will ever stop it is the inevitable inertia that will overtake the body in motion. And we all know how to overcome inertia, right ;-) ?

Thanks for keeping my attention right up to the end, and sending me back to listen to my favorite bits again!! You have a lovely way of communicating, and the time I spent with you today was invaluable.
