Have You Created Your ‘Cash Flow Map’ Yet?

by Eric Goldstein

The other day I asked you “Are You Branding YOU or Someone Else?” This is a very IMPORTANT question to ask yourself when creating a Personal Brand using social media, so if you haven’t already get over there and watch that video.

Today’s video follows right behind that.  Most marketers DO NOT have a plan to make money from their brand.  If you don’t, then WHY are you blogging and hangin’ out on social media?

You have to treat this like a business, not like a hobby.  Would you open up a store and have nothing on the shelves?  Hmmm… something to think about!

I’m going to let you off the hook because nobody has really taught you how to do this.  They’ve taught you how to blog and ‘do social media’… but you should be doing that stuff to build your business, hence make money!

Check out todays video as I dig deeper into this:

0 Have You Created Your Cash Flow Map Yet?

What are your thoughts?

Do you personally have a ‘Cash Flow Map’?  Do you know how to create one?  Leave me a comment below with your answers.  I’m here to help you put this into place, so that you have a plan to make money from your brand.

Also, share this post with your Facebook and Twitter buddies… they’ll love it!

I’ll catch you in a bit…

Yours In Success,

Eric Goldstein

Hey Gail,

When we know where we are going,
then we feel clear. It’s when we don’t
know where we are going that we feel
confused and overwhelmed.

I’m sharing a video tomorrow that digs
a bit deeper into creating a Cash Flow
Map:)

Hey Steve,

Having a desired outcome and
a plan to get there always feels
better to us…

And it’s in the feeling better that
we attract what it is we truly want.

Eric you have such a great way of presenting content (your metaphore of a blog w/out prduct being like a store w/empty shelves sent me into a belly laugh). I think we all can get so caught up in the to do’s of getting “set up” that we often loose site of exactly what our Why is! The sites I frequent most offer a great combo of interesting and informative posts AND excellent products that provide value. Yours being one of my favorites!!

Hey Alison,

Thanks for the great comment!

We have to look at our biz like a store,
we need stuff on the shelf if we are going
to advertise with blog posts, videos, etc.

Thanks for being you:)

Eric ~ your video rocks! I was feeling this way a few weeks ago, felt like I had everything set up (like the shop front) but nothing behind to keep me and my list going (nothing on the shelves!!) I am still working on this to create myself some more depth, but have made a great head way into it.
Thanks for the tips, very valuable info for people
cheers

Great to hear that you are working
on your backend… the reason why
we do the stuff on the front end is to
funnel people through the backend.

Keep doing what you’re doing!

Knowing what we are passionate about
is KEY to this whole Personal Branding
thing.

Most people don’t know what they are
passionate about because they’ve been
doing things they hate for so long.

The cool thing is, we can always get
back to what we love… it never leaves
us:)

Hi Eric. Some great coaching here.
We all need stock on our shelves! – Great analogy. It’s essential to have a strategic long term plan and think about the total life value of your customers so that you can grow your relationship and guide them up your value chain. Those little affiliate sales can lead to much higher valued sales from your own brand if you get it right.
Thanks. I’ll be coming back for more!

Hey Saz,

Love your name!

If the shelves aren’t stocked then
the doors should be closed… we need
to treat our Social Media just like we
would a regular biz.

Thanks for contributing here:)

You saying something as simple as “What do we want to offer others?” is enough to get the wheels running with ideas Eric :) It’s funny how when you first start a business you have to get the dollar signs out of your eyes and then after you’ve learned to give and help others you have to remember that money is a part of your business :) Thanks for another great post!

Emily,

If people are building a brand
around their passion, then they
have value to offer.

They have info that others want
in that arena of life. Lead with value,
and then create products/services
that expand on all of that info.

Thanks for the energy you bring
to the community here!

Hey Eric,
Great video here. Yes, have plenty of cashflow maps in place. Although I think I have too many, sort of. As others, inundated myself with TMI. However, I knew I had to narrow it down and specialize. So, that is where I am. But, now, also, as far as blogging, I am honing in on the types of things to zero in on for the MLM industry.

There are so many areas to discuss and mentor in, but it is great when you can nail it down and have direction.

Thanks for the great videos.

Joe,

The more clear you can be on who
you are targeting, the better your
mentoring will be.

When we know who we are talking
to, then we can craft our marketing
and coaching to that group.

Micro niching basically… much better
than going after these big niches.

Thanks for commenting Joe!

Hi Eric,
Great post, and your blog always reminds me that I need to do more interlinking.

I enjoy how casual and genuine you are, and in this video I had to chuckle when you mentioned some people think money is just going to land on their heads.

Good stuff!

Yet another video packed with words of wisdom from Eric. You are just spot on with what you say there Eric. It is very easy to just get caught up in the hype that is social media and think you’re doing Internet Marketing. I see lots of people throwing lots of things at people’s walls especially in FB and hoping that just something will stick. It just doesn’t work and so I love your message today.

All the best, Trish
