Hey Hey Hey…

Today is a super IMPORTANT day in our history. One man set out to change the world… and he did! When I take a look at the situation to see how it all unfolded, the one thing that jumps out to me is VISION.

Gotta have VISION! You are a powerful creator that can be, do or have ANYTHING you want. Those words might sound hollow or fake to you… but believe me my friend they are dead on!

What you think about and focus on expands… and if you keep your attention there long enough, it manifests into your experience. You have to truly believe and EXPECT that your vision will come to pass. One thing your going to have to remember is, to leave everyone else’s opinion out of the equation.

This is exactly what Martin Luther King did! Did he care what other people thought about what he believed in? No way! The man was so passionate about his VISION that he was willing to die for it… that’s the way you have to feel about what you are shooting for.

Check out this quick video I created about having vision:

    Hey Eric,

This is a very important post. Having a vision is quite possibly the most powerful way to maintain a focus on what it is you really want in life and keeping you motivated to achieve that goal.

When we are able to visualise how we want to carry out a task, activity, hurdle, the mechanics of achieving them can be so much smoother when our vision is clear.

Many great soccer players will literally mentally prepare themselves kicking the ball to the back of the net…I guess thats why its called a GOAL!

People should ask themselves each morning, what it is they want to achieve and spend time to visualise how they will make this a reality.

    Good Stuff :-)

      Hey Beth,

I love how you tied soccer players into
the mix… I played soccer for 14 years so
that struck a good vibe with me:)

      Thanks for the great share!

Great post Eric, you really have hit it on the head.

Vision is very important, you have to know where you’re going before you can get there.

I loved the way Napoleon Hill put it “Cherish you visions and your dreams, as they are the children of your soul; the blue prints of your ultimate achievements.”

    Thanks for your video

      Wayne,

Thanks for sharing. Napoleon Hill was
right on with that… cherish them because
they are what will get you to where you want
      to go..

Thanks Eric for the timely reminder. You are always very creative with your post! I resonated with John C. Maxwell Vision Checklist that he once shared at a seminar:
    1.)Clarity
    2.)Connectedness
    3.)Purpose
    4.)Goals
    5.)Honesty
    6.)Stories
    7.)Challenge
    8.)Passion
    9.)Modeling
    10.) Strategy
I also loved it when he mentioned that you can’t press on to your future vision without studying what you did in the past. This builds your foundation of growth and enhances your integrity.
TOTALLY enjoyed your vid today Eric!
    Keep it up!

Great post Eric. Vision is the key. Reminds me of a piece of ancient wisdom I read once “without vision people perish”. We need to have vision to move forward in life. I like the vision board concept – keeping the vision right in front of us all the time reminds us why what we do every day is so important.

      Krista,

Thanks for sharing that piece of ancient

    Eric,

Great post about having a vision. You are right on… without a vision, people would be looking all around and wonder what they should be doing.

Vision implies looking up and forward. It’s having your eyes set on goals. I use a vision board to keep me grounded towards my goals. i also ask myself often if what I’m doing is getting me one step closer.

Thanks for sharing your vision with our Tribe.

      Thanks Ken!

The question that you posted is a great
one.. ‘Is what I’m doing getting me one
step closer?’ … it’s always good to measure
where we are and see if we are on track.

      Thanks for sharing buddy!
