Steve,

My pleasure on the reminder! It all
starts with the decision… most people
never decide.

Thanks for sharing in the community ;)

Hey Eric,
Great post! I agree completely. Leaders choose to be leaders, and any person can choose to step up to the plate at any given time and be a leader.

Take Care,
Krista

Thank you for sharing!
A leader is often thought of as the person who goes first and are followed by a group, I think. That´s what first come up in my head too, talking about leader.
After watching your clip I began to think and tryed to re-evaluate my thoghts. And of course, there are different types of leader – I don´t have to be the kind that I´ve seen as a leader! I also think we all have a leader in ourselves but that leader is individual and has to be seen as such.
So your video started a process – a new perspective!

Elinor,

Great perspective. I always love
to hear how others see things. Leaders
take all kinds of different shapes.

Thanks for the awesome share!

Great message for Presidents’ Day, Eric!

I’m reminded of a quote I once heard:

A true leader will automatically come to the front when there’s work to be done.
And a true leader will step to the back when it’s time to receive the glory.

I’ve learned alot over the years about being an effective leader and one of the biggest lessons I learned is how to properly manage the power that comes with leadership. It’s not about power at all – it’s about motivating others to be the best they can be and work as a team to attain a goal.

Serena,

Great quote… thanks for sharing it
here in the community! Just like you
said… a leader inspires their team to
attain an outcome no matter how they
have to do it.

Keep leading…

Hi Eric,

You’re right. It is a personal decision. Interestingly, it is often motivated by love. . .a deep love for someone or something.

One thing our founding fathers had in common — especially those who became presidents — was passion.

It is much easier to become a leader, to throw yourself into the ring so to speak, when you have a cause you are passionate about.

And I can’t think of one person I know who can’t identify a cause they can become passionate about.

All they have to do is decide to step up!

Joe

Hey Joe,

Great info buddy. When one is passionate
about something, then it’s easy to decide to
step up and be a leader.

Keep it movin’…

Great MESSAGE as always coming from you.

The best I’ve heard is leading without a Title whether you are an employee taking care of mails or your CEO— Leading does not mean it is attach to a specific title. I feel that the biggest role and leadership I don’t take lightly is being a mother. And Leading within my home.

Thanks Eric ;)

Hi Eric,
It’s great that you emphasize importance of a leadership.

At the one of the seminars that I attended a person from audience asked the speaker: “What do you do to attract leaders into your business?” He replied: ” Become one” :)
I loved that response, because it’s simple and totally makes sense.

Miko,

Right on bro! We attract what
we become. You definitely are a
leader :)

Eric,

You are so right! One needs to DECIDE when to step up and take the role as a leader. just like one needs to step up and take the role as a teacher and value giver.

Before you do that, it can very hard to become successful in life and biz.

Keep giving your great advice Eric!

Rock on!

Thanks Eric,
This is such a great message that so many people need to hear(and be reminded of too). Before anyone can be a leader they have to believe in the power that they hold within themself. We tend to compare ourselves to others. But it is so silly because what makes a great leader is being different and just being yourself. We ALL have great things to offer, we just have to find them from within.

Danielle,

Make that decision is the 1st step.
Then you hit another KEY point… being
yourself. The more authentic we can be,
the more the things we want come into
our life.
