WOW! I just got an email forwarded to me from a really good friend, Alicia Diaz. It’s an email that I sent her a year ago almost to the day. She came across it and wanted me to see the vision that I had and how trusting your guidance pays off. It was so GOOD to read something that I wrote when I was starting my journey into the blogosphere.
I had absolutely NO CLUE about blogging or the whole social media game… I just knew that I had a strong feeling about something and I was going to follow it. You know the feeling, right? The feeling of being drawn to something, almost as if you are being pulled.
I’ve come to learn that this is the Universe showing me which route to take to get to where I want to go. We all have wants and desires… and the Universe ALWAYS knows the best and fastest route.
We all have this internal guidance…
It’s called your emotional guidance system. It’s just that most of us have not listened to it for so long, that we don’t even ‘hear’ or ‘see’ the signs. The good news is that it never shuts off, no matter how long you ignore it for!
After years of listening to other people (parents, teachers, coaches, relatives, bosses, etc.) telling you what to do, you stopped trusting and listening to yourself. The signs are so subtle sometimes, but the more you listen and trust… the stronger the feelings get and the more noticeable they are.
I’ve always been someone not to listen to others. I would get yelled at by my mother all the time for this. I didn’t know it then, but I was listening to my emotional guidance system. My teachers, coaches and bosses always would say ‘Eric always does what Eric wants to do’… haha!
So here is the email Alicia sent me…
It was so great reading this email and seeing what has unfolded in my life. I could have NEVER predicted, back then, all of the amazing things that have come into my since building my personal brand with my blog.
I was just following a feeling… an emotion that felt good
The message I really want you to get today from this blog post is to ALWAYS follow what feels good to you. I promise you that if you start trusting your guidance more, you will get everything you want! There will be a bunch of people out there that don’t agree with you, but it’s your internal emotional guidance system… not theirs.
It’s like you driving in your car and calling your buddy who is in their car, and asking them what their navigation system is telling them to do so you can get to where you want to go. It would make NO SENSE… but this is what people are doing everyday by listening to others and not trusting in their own guidance.
I hope this email will help you get back to trusting your guidance and believing in yourself more. I was going to keep this email to myself but I’m all about EMPOWERING others, and I knew if I shared it… it would touch someone’s life and make a difference.
So… now it’s time for me to hear from you. What came up for you when reading this post? Are you in a place in your life where I was a year ago, only going on blind faith and trust? Leave a comment below and share with the community. Just like my story might touch your life, your story might touch another one of my reader’s lives.
Also, share this post with your Twitter & Facebook friends. I think a lot of people can use a little more trust in themselves right now… they will THANK YOU for sending it to them:)
I thank you for reading today… I appreciate you more than words can explain!
Yours In Abundance,
Eric Goldstein

Hello Eric,
I totally agree with you. I have been listening to other people for so long that I have lost myself in the process. I am going to follow your advice and do what makes me happy and to hell with other people’s opinions, good intentioned though they may be.
My dream life is waiting for me all I have to do is move toward it.
Cheers
Billy
Hey Billy…
Yea buddy, do what makes YOU happy.
When you do that, you are of service to
others around you.
You are always going to make a certain
amount of people happy and piss a certain
amount of people off… so you might as well
be happy
Hi Eric,
Thanks so much for this! I started trying to blog 2 years ago. It has been a bumpy road but I know that I will be successful at this.
I think some of my biggest mistakes have been:
* Listening to other people telling me to be an affiliate just to make money. This just didn’t feel right because I didn’t feel that I was being honest with people so I stopped almost as soon as I got started,
* Technical problems. I think this has been my biggest hurdle. I was always told how easy it was to set up a Wordpress blog but the themes just never worked for me. It is only recently that I have heard people advising to get someone else to do it. All that time I kept beating myself up for not being able to get the hang of it! I finally gave up because I thought that because there were so many brick walls, the Universe was trying to tell me that I was on the wrong track.
Now I am BACK! I know that it is different this time. You have been an instrumental part in my new found confidence Eric. Now I remember why I wanted to start blogging and I love the idea of branding myself with a blog and social media.
I know that I have got SO much to give to the world. I am an EFT Practitioner and will soon be a Meta Medicine Health Coach. I am passionate about helping people take a holistic approach to their health, wealth and happiness so that they can start living the lives they were born to live.
I always look forward to your emails Eric. Thank you.
Hugs,

Hey Cathy,
Great share… I really appreciate your
authenticity, thank you!
We all have those hurdles to jump when
getting started. Once you get the techie
beginning stuff out of the way, then you
can really dive into sharing YOU.
It’s like getting the tires, doors, engine
and all of that stuff on a car out of the
way…so then you can step on the gas
and start driving!
I’m here to support you on your journey.
Knowing that I’m making a difference in
people’s lives like yours, is what DRIVES
me to do what I do everyday.
Thank you… big smiles:)
Wow! this sounds amazing Eric!
) I am so confident that what I’m doing WILL pay off.
I’m somewhere at the same place in my life you were a year ago. I’m starting a blog and even though I’m encountering some obstacles (like a lack of time as I’m a busy mom of two small toddlers with no real support system
It’s very interesting that your post today is talking about this feeling of being pulled into a certain direction, this “inner voice” telling you what to do, as this was discussed in my meditation course last night; so talk about signs and messages coming to me from the Universe – A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
I’m curious to know if you were meditating, or using creative visualizations as well at this time in your life a year ago?
Wishing you all the best! and thank you for your post!!!
))
Hey Tamara,
Great to hear that you are starting
you blogging journey! If you stay confident,
you will get to where you want to go.
Love how the Universe brings us what
we need, and how things line up:)
I love the questions… Yes, I was meditating
and visualizing during those times… and I
still am:)
It’s been so POWERFUL in my life. Thank you
for those empowering questions:)
When you find alignment with your desire, the thing that you want MOST… When you think only to that thing and you feel like it’s already happened…It MUST be. It’s law.
But I feel like the process of aligning is more significant than the manifestation. There’s so much joy in being aware of your guidance system, forgetting it and then using it again…
Thanks for sharing!
Hey Francesco,
Yes… it’s the journey to getting
the manifestation that is the real
JOY.
The creation process is where life
is really at… because once the manifestation
happens, we’re on to the next.
So it’s about enJOYing the process:)
Thanks for your perspective!
Hi Eric,
Belief in oneself is an essential tool for life; listening to yourself, trusting your own guidance and taking action, making things happen, is massively empowering.
We all make mistakes, but with support and appropriate guidance, we can learn form those mistakes, and that in itself can be worth making the mistakes for.
I enjoyed this post, thanks for sharing your letter!
Cheers
John
John,
My pleasure on sharing… I always
love to share pieces of my life that
will help others.
Belief in oneself is so important. It’s
belief and expectation that creates:)
Thanks for stoppin’ by!
Hey champ, I must say that I totally loved your article. It was very moving because as you know I have been working on the creation of my blog now for several months and at times it gets discouraging. But seeing where you were back then is very inspiring. You are a true example of what’s possible when you take action on your dreams. Your article if anything is reminding me of where I will be this time next year, and I can’t wait!
Thank you so much for your continuous inspiration.
Yours in success,
Edward (AKA “The Champ”) Munoz
Hey Champ….
Thanks for chiming in here! It’s really
cool to look back and see how much you’ve
grown.
It’s just like with when you were starting
with your book, lot’s of success and growth
for you since then.
Looking forward to watching you ROCK your blog!
Eric my friend great post.
I believe our internal guidance is the voice from spirit.
All the answers are within! That’s why trusting the voice and meditating to take time to hear it is key. But we can’t do it alone.
I have a great master mind group and when the opportunity to join came my way I trusted my internal guidance to join the group. Although I get advice from others I always make sure its inline with my gut and true self. My voice (gut) is the last and most important voice.
I love seeing stories like yours and I know you’ve only just begun!
Wishing you continued peace & prosperity,
Dallas Cyr

Great to hear from you Dallas!
That inner voice will always lead
us towards our desires. Meditation,
like you said, will help quiet the mind
so you can ‘hear’ your inner voice.
Thanks for sharing bud:)
Hi Eric,
Where you was 1 year ago is where I am today. Just starting out not really knowing what I’m doing, but knowing that what I’m doing just seems to feel right. Also knowing that all I want to do is help other people along the road.
Great post and it has given me renewed hope for the future.
Thanks my friend.
Chris
Hey Chris…
Happy that my story has helped
you. Just keep your eye on your
vision and outcome, and I promise
you it will all come to pass.
Stay passionate my friend!
Hey Eric…
Great post. We all have an inner guidance and some times we just don’t pay attention. Example… 3 years ago I wanted to start a blog… well it took a while but 7 yes seven days ago I finally got started.
I’m glad I stopped by…
Coach Freddie
.-= Coach Freddie´s last blog ..Miracles Synchronicities And Coincidences =-.
Freddie,
You rock my friend… great to hear
you launched your blog! We all have
inner guidance and it will lead us to
amazing places.
Happy to have you here in the community:)
Great post Eric,
it’s so true. How many times you get that guidance, that hunch, and you let the rational part of you interfere and do the opposite, only to discover later that your guidance/hunch was so true.
Furthermore, we have forgotten to listen to our guidance. To be able to hear it, you need to spend sometime in silence, only with yourself. But we are constantly surrounded by noise: traffic, rining cell phones; we are in the car and the music is on; we take public transport or walk and we wear headphones to listent to music from our ipod or phone. We have forgotten how to connect with our inner self that is always speaking to us, but we don’t pay attention. And sometimes this inner self – our guidance – is forced to shout at us in order to be heard and puts in front of us experiences we can learn from. And these experiences sometimes are unpleasant, or difficult and they are so for us to learn. Oh if we only had paid attention to our guidance……
Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Yours in success

Hey Paola…
You are right on the money!
The Universe starts out with what
seems like subtle gentle nudges….
Then if you push it aside, it will get
louder and louder… gotta love the
Universe for never giving up on us:)
Thank you for sharing value here
in the community. The readers here
always get good stuff from the comments:)
Hey Eric,
I saw the first 22 minutes of “The Secret” last night. That’s when my DVD player froze and had to be unplugged. I guess it was my subconscious mind that froze it, according to the movie. At least now I understand how so many people got such radical ideas. My wife tells me even Oprah endorsed the book.
I don’t see why there is so much value placed in the “emotional guidance system” when it often lands people in jail or bankrupt. It seems like an opt-in tunnel vision to me. Without the critical mind at the reigns of our emotions, there’d be fights all over, people would try to literally screw one another in the supermarket, and we’d probably all have committed suicide long ago. Our emotions betray us, sometimes, don’t they?! Where does this fit in to the “emotional guidance system”? If I *truly* trusted it, I’d be hopping out of my car to beat the crap out the next person that endangered me in any way.. because I felt like it and trusted my feeling.
I would argue that if our minds created the universe, we’d be living in a geocentric universe upon a flat Earth. Every god ever worshiped would exist. And we could fix the oil spill just by imagining it was already fixed. But I haven’t seen so much as a cup cake sprinkle manifest itself through the sheer power of will or belief.
And what of two people holding opposing beliefs? Both could not very well manifest themselves.
Curious as always,
Stefan
Hey Stefan,
Always LOVE to hear your shares!
The thing that I appreciate about you
is that you are always being yourself,
keep rockin’ you!
Give ‘the secret’ a chance… i think you
will see value in it…
If you asked yourself “Should I get out
of the car and beat the crap out of this
person”… if you listen closely, it’s not
what you are being guided to do.
I do believe that things like an oil spill
can be cleaned up just by a thought…
it’s just that most people don’t ‘believe’
it.
Everything boils down to belief… it’s the
only thing that limits what’s possible.
When two peeps are holding opposing
beliefs… there are ways for them both
to get what they want:)
Thanks for stirring things up!
Hey Eric,
What came up for me in my mind is my latest blog post – >> http://bit.ly/bPYyJe. It’s all about having faith in what you believe. Thanks for sharing your personal email.
Kellie Frazier dot com
My pleasure Kellie… Faith is so
powerful. We’ve all been taught
‘seeing is believing’… but faith is
all about ‘believing before seeing’.
Thanks for adding value here:)
Eric !
good to see you doing Big things… been awile since ewtc…
And you are right about the damn guidance system thing.. in my experieince.. when im locked onto what I am really after.. it is pretty damn hard to stop me…
Warmest Regards,
Nitya
Hey Nitya,
It has been a while since T Harv’s
‘Enlightened Warrior Training Camp’.
Great to see you around here. Stay
focused on what you want:)
Hope to run into you at a Harv event!
Eric,
Shook it off and proceed forward, only to discover opportunities awaiting me.
Synergy at work here! I was going over a steep hill this weekend over wondering if I was going in the correct direction or not. Second guessing myself.
Truly believing and trusting your inner guidance is vital to navigating through the stuff that can get in your way. Usually, it’s me getting in my own way!
Thanks for the great reminder to trust and stay true to myself,
Val
.-= Val Wilcox´s last blog ..Along The Path of Self Discovery… =-.
Val… it’s a funny thing how we all
get to those points, where we second
guess ourselves.
It’s just the mind trying to protect us
and keep us ‘safe’ and ‘secure’… which
is best when we don’t grow.
When we bust past that, and listen to
our hearts, we tap into the stream of
our Source that can provide us with
everything and MORE!
Thanks… I appreciate you sharing:)
Eric, I am so happy you posted this. As an intuitive, I follow my guidance and truly \"know\" what is the right thing to do, even if it doesn\’t make sense at the time. This post made me feel normal. When people ask me \"how does a Psychic end up in Internet Marketing?\" I just tell them it is a long story, which is true. One thing lead to another and all of a sudden I\’m a blogging maniac!
Thanks Eric!
Donna…
You said it… sometimes it doesn’t make
sense, but it’s having that TRUST that it’s
what is best for you.
When you follow that, AMAZING things
that you could have never predicted show
up in your life… love it!
Thanks… you blogging maniac!
Hey Eric,
This is a fantastic share. I found it very encouraging to see where you were just one year ago, and to know you now and everything you are doing to see your dreams come to pass. You have been a true giver and value adder. Your post made me think back to when we first started working together last November and where I was at the time in comparison to where I am now. Thank you for adding so much value and for being a great friend and leader.
Hugs!
Krista
Krista…
Thank you so much! It’s been a
great ride so far… and I KNOW there
is so much more GOOD coming!
You really have grown as an online
entrepreneur. It’s been great watching
you going from no blog, to having a blog
that is buzzing with peeps!
Thanks for sharing here
Eric:
As always a great post. I guess I am at the stage you were last year . I have always listened to everyone else and never my heart. Well I have decided that it is time to listen to my gut and my heart and I am doing that now.
Thank You!!
Yea girl! The more you listen to YOUR
guidance, the more you get what you
want in your life.
Nobody else can ‘feel’ for you, it’s your
emotions… so follow them!
Once again you have struck a chord. Thank you for sharing this very personal story about your growth! I can completely concur. People use to call me a dreamer and they still do from time to time. When I got out of school and started looking for work in the job world, I did what I thought was the responsible thing, by listening to my parents, teachers etc., but I’ve gone down so many wrong paths. When I started listening to what I really wanted, deep down in a place that I had buried, things started changing for the better. My own guidance has never failed me and I’ll always listen to it now. Thank you again, this was really inspiring!
Hey Emily,
My pleasure… keep dreaming
and keep following your guidance!
I love this post, Eric! It’s so cool to get that perspective from a year ago and seeing where following your inner guidance has taken you! My life has also transformed after learning to follow my emotional guidance system and trusting that if it feels good…I’m going with the flow.
I used to never know which way I was supposed to go, which way to think or feel, because I was so used to others telling me how to be. It’s so liberating and empowering to finally realize I do know and my emotions can direct me.
Thanks and as always, you provide so much value and insight to the world!
.-= Sue Vittner´s last blog ..What Does Judging Really Do To Us? =-.
Hey Sue,
Thank you for a beautiful comment!
When we follow our emotional guidance
system, it takes us to places that will blow
our minds!
It will always steer us in the right direction,
it’s our connection to Source! Keep rockin’
YOU, and sit back and watch the unfolding:)
I appreciate you… thank you!
True, I don’t know what it is, Subconscience, The Universe, G*d. I had this happen today, things seemed a bit overwhelming. I just quieted my thinking, and asked for guidance. Sure enough…I got the answers I needed, oh…and got my attitude right. Thanks, Eric
Nice work Edmund!
The answers are always available to
us, we just have to quiet our minds and
listen.
We are being guided in each and every
moment of our life… what a beautiful thang:)
Hola Eric,
Thank you for sharing this article it is so true I do feel exactly like it. I relate so very much with your interests and your beliefs . I do follow Abraham as well among others, it is part of my life now, my real passion is self development, the power of the mind in general and I could not see the meaning of all these with out it ! I m learning so much from you. Keep it up. Blessed your success you deserve it and a lot more to come.
Taide
Hola Taide,
Thank you for sharing here today. Happy
to hear that you are getting value from my
content here on my blog… that’s what drives
me my friend.
The Abraham teachings have changed so
much in my life. I look at everything VERY
differently. I’m sure you can hear a lot of
what that work coming through in my shares.
Keep it real Taide!
