Are You Playing BIG In Life? If Not, WHY?

by Eric Goldstein

Are You Playing BIG In The Game Of Life?

I hope so… because it’s the ONLY way to play! I see way too many people not living their life to their full potential. If there are things in life that you are holding back on… STOP IT!

I know that certain things can be a bit scary… but some of our biggest successes come when we do things that we are afraid of. The only reason why you have fear is because it’s something you haven’t done before.

I always hear people talking about being a leader in their company… this role definitely requires the ability to break through your fears and GO BIG!

I shot a quick video for you today about this while I was in New York City on Wall Street in front of the New York Stock Exchange. The energy that you feel down at the ‘Financial Capital Of The World’ is BIG! It made me think that more people really need to step up the level that they are playing life at

I apologize ahead of time for the shaking of my hand while I was holding the camera. I was standing out on the ledge of one of the pillars at the Federal Hall to get a good view of the Exchange:)

I’d like for you to leave a comment down at the bottom of this post and share what you do when fear comes up when you are about to do something BIG in your life.

Now we all have fear, so if you have a fear of leaving a comment… do it! That is exactly what this post is about. By sharing the strategy that you use to overcome and break through your fear will help someone else. You never know the effect you can have on another’s life… so share on!

Also, please click the ‘retweet’ button on this post and pass this info on to all of your Twitter followers… they will thank you BIG time for it!

I really APPRECIATE you stopping by my blog! Your time is the most precious resource you have and I’m very thankful that you spent some of it with me here today:)

When I have a fear of doing something big, I focus my attention on the result I want, rather than the fear. I’ve found that focusing on the fear only increases the fear, and my mind comes up with more barriers for why I shouldn’t move forward. Focusing on the result creates excitement and energy.

Jason,

Thank you for the share! I’m sure
this will be of VALUE to others.

Focusing on the fear only attracts
other fear based thoughts, while
turning your attention on the outcome
your are looking for attracts thoughts
based on you achieving the results
you are looking for.

Keep rockin’ buddy:)

I imagine the excitement is so much greater when you’re there.

My biggest fear is heights but at the same time I get excited when I stand at the edge of a mountain.

Your enthusiasm and encouragement is much appreciated, Eric. Thanks for playing BIG!

BIG is a relative term. What may not seem like much to some may be a BIG deal to others (at the time). Perhaps BIGGER is a better word – as it implies growth (and s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g into being, doing, having, offering ,and/or sharing “more”). Bigger is not always better, but playing “small” is usually playing out of fear. I think you are encouraging people to go all out and play to WIN! “Baby steps” may not seem big, but they can grow as we do. What’s important is to get started, keep going, and not stop – believing that our (most) desired outcome(s) are possible and then acting with the expectation that what we want (to create, attract, and/or manifest) will eventually result.

Right on Oren! Very well said….

Playing BIG in the sense of stepping
outside of your comfort zone and doing
the things where fear comes up.

It doesn’t matter the size of the step, it
can be baby steps, just take the step!

It doesn’t serve anyone in the world when
we play small… and if you want BIG results
it takes BIG energy.

Just like my buddy Eric Allen says ‘Go BIG
Or Go HOME!’

Keep up the amazingness:)

Hi Eric,

I love reading your posts because you call attention to things that we tend to overlook… but that can make a huge difference.

I think great leaders are those who dare to think big! Thinking big requires vision and the commitment to follow through to completion.

Sometimes thinking big means stepping outside your comfort zone. I find that when I am in that discomfort zone, thats when I experience the most growth.

Thanks for sharing! Keep thinking BIG.

Eric…very cool, I’ve never seen Wall Street before so that was a first.
For me when FEAR comes crouching into my life I just take action. I love the saying that Robert Kiyosaki says about fear that it is (False Evidence Appearing Real). Our fears are not real, they are something we’ve made up in our minds and our emotions kick in and tell we should run the other way.
Now the only time I can really recommend that is if you come across a bear on a trail, otherwise I really believe we have to keep our head up, push through to our goal and Make It Happen.

That’s it, great post.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your inspiring words. Playing big is a very challenging task and not all dare to enter this kind of game. I could say that it’s because of fear; aside from that maybe they are just satisfied over simple things and just playing safe with their comfort zones. We can’t blame them yet if we will join a nationwide contest then the price is big- it could bring us fame and fortune. There is a small percentage that you’ll win but the experience is rewarding already. On the contrary, joining a neighborhood’s contest will just bring you limited exposure and small price. The bigger challenge we engage in, the greater opportunity we are offering ourselves.

When one realizes that all humans have
fear… a BIG shift happens. Then it’s a matter
of ‘dancing’ with the fear instead of pushing
against it.

Hi Eric, Its me yet again! Aren’t you happy to see me? hehe. Anyway, Fear is an awesome topic never overated in this business because it stands in the way of too many people. it truly effects everyone to some degree. Some just know how to deal with it better than others. Personally, I will admit: I have generalized anxiety so Trust Me, My Friend, just being alive is a fear “somedays” (don’t let that discourage you). I am very happy to be alive and building freedom as I work my online businesses. Nonetheless, having had this mental disorder, I’ve had to overcome and still do have to overcome a lot of fear on a daily basis. AND I do KNOW that once I break through – things are so much better – and I’m living BIG on a higher level within myself (which in fact gets manifested out into the world through my smile, my attire, my confidence, and “swagger” haha, ask Kevin Tan). Furthermore, this subject goes right along with the fact that you learn the most and grow the most in your hardest moments; those moments of fatigue when you don’t want to go anymore; in face of obstacles AND FEAR!
God Bless Your Success,

Perfect timing for this message :)
I played BIG all weekend and I soared!! Grace was guiding me the entire time and it was truly effortless. I was called to guide several people to source and help them process their emotions and clear cellular memories for emotional healing. WOW!! what a gift that was! I was fully open in each moment and stepped into my highest self at each step along the way. I am still floating from this feeling of living from freedom!
I hope you were flying all weekend yourself at the T. Harv Eker seminar.
It’s time to go big all the way and honor who I really am!
Thanks for the inspiration.

Hey Eric, great post.

Like Aaron I find that action is the best way to overcome fear. A recent EFT session I did with Rebecca Johnson was also really great for uncovering the truths behind my fears.

Your post reminded me of this great quote from a man whose courage to face his fears and DREAM BIG has changed the world.

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” Nelson Mandela
